In order to limit illegal labor, Korea has temporarily stopped accepting workers with permanent residence in some localities in Vietnam. The following is a list of provinces banned from Korean labor export in 2023.
Recently, the official website of the Department of Overseas Labor: http://dolab.gov.vn/ posted a notice to suspend recruitment operating under the EPS Program Phase 1 in 2023 in some localities.
Specifically, the list of records 04 provinces banned from Korean labor export in 2023 include: Ha Tinh, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa.< /strong>
However, not all districts in these 04 localities are prohibited from exporting labor to Korea but only limited to 08 districts/ the following cities/towns:

Therefore, based on the Memorandum of Understanding on sending and receiving Vietnamese laborers to work in Korea under the Employment Permit Program (EPS) signed 2021 and the Plan to reduce illegal resident workers in Korea in the appendix attached to this Memorandum of Understanding, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea have decided to suspend recruitment. select workers to work in Korea for employees belonging to:
– Chi Linh city (in Hai Duong province);
– Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc district, Hung Nguyen district (in Nghe An province);
– Dong Son district, Hoang Hoa district (Thanh Hoa province).
However, the prohibition on labor exportation does not apply to employees who apply for recruitment in the fisheries sector, workers under the EPS Program return home on time and who workers residing illegally in Korea have voluntarily returned home during the period of the Korean side’s sanction exemption.
